To a good home only, sold in pairs only: Thor is a five year old alpine. He weighs about 220 pounds. He is a gentle and very friendly goat. Currently my alpha. Good feet, loves his face scratched, very good natured. He will be sold with Rusty. I didn’t breed this goat but he was bred by a friend and has been socialized from day one. He is out of Dwite Sharp genetics. I brought him home when he was about two months old and have loved him ever since.
Rusty is four years old, hybrid, a goat that grows on you when you know his strengths: he’s built like a tank, he is a hard worker, best feet I’ve ever seen on a goat. Probably weighs around 230. He needs some time to trust strangers but he will trust you with time.
Chester is two years old, he comes from great genetics. Beautiful colors, very well socialized, I bred him and sat with him on my lap from the day he was born. He’s on track to be a two hundred pound goat. One more year before he can pack with an adult saddle. He will be sold with Ridge.
Ridge is huge for his age. He has a little bit of meat goat bread in him so he’s got a great temperament, kind of a gentle giant. He weighed a lot at birth and has always tracked big weight-wise. He’s going to be a great packer. He is also two years old.
I’ve kept pack goats for over ten years and these are the favorite goats I’ve ever had. I love them and I will only sell to someone who will do the same. These are still my property so please don’t be too offended if I choose not to sell them to you. I will want to know what kind of pasture space you have for them, your housing plan, your feeding plan, etc. I will want to know if you are kind and respectful to animals, and how you plan to use them. I’ll want to know you trim hooves regularly, if you don’t know how I will teach you. I will want to know that you check their parasite load and treat appropriately. If you pack, I’ll want to know that you will invest in their exercise and conditioning before you expect them to perform at top gear.
These goats will be sold for $500 each. Lower offers not considered. If you ask me to trade or negotiate the price I will not sell them to you. The real cost of a goat is in the care, supplies, feed, time. Thousands of dollars and heart have gone into each of these goats to get them to this point.
