This is a rad Pearl piccolo snare. It has a similar shell, or possibly the same, as the Firecracker snare, but in a traditional piccolo size. 6 lugs, and a very good strainer. It seems to be the same ones used on the brass and steel piccolo drums. Piano black wrap.

The poplar shell gives this drum a warm and throaty sound, especially in comparison to other piccolo drums.
