VenmoPioneer SX-780 receiver for sale.
The receiver is fully functional and sounds great. All lights are working, and all controls and functions operate properly. I recently had it looked at by a local tech, who commented that it appeared to be very original and looked as though the bottom cover may never have been removed.
Cosmetically, it's in decent vintage condition with normal wear from age and use. There is a nickel-sized chip on the left rear corner of the cabinet, along with other signs of use that you'd expect on a receiver of this age. Also some scratches on top of the metal faceplate. Please review the photos carefully.
A couple of things worth noting:
- The left power meter doesn't move as strongly as the right.
- The left channel will occasionally get a little scratchy, but working the controls back and forth clears it up. It likely could benefit from a cleaning, but I'll leave that to the next owner.
Overall, this is a nice, honest SX-780 that still performs well and would make a great addition to a vintage audio setup.
