Meet Boomer! This handsome long-haired Chihuahua is looking for the right forever home. Boomer came to us from Idaho after being rescued, and he’s made a lot of progress, but he still needs a patient owner who understands that trust and training take time.
Boomer is a beautiful boy with a unique coat featuring subtle blue accents and a gorgeous fluffy mane. He is happy, playful, and outgoing once he feels comfortable, but he can also be shy and skittish in new situations.
When we got him, he had never been outside, walked on a leash, or even had a bath. Because of that, he’s still learning basic life skills. He is not fully potty trained but is getting used to using our fenced backyard and continues to improve.
Boomer’s ideal home: • Patient owner willing to continue training and socialization • Secure fenced yard (a doggy door would be a huge plus!) • No small children, as he plays too rough and doesn’t understand his size • Someone committed to giving him structure, consistency, and lots of love
-Gets along with other dogs -Can be feisty around treats, so supervision is recommended -Beautiful long coat with unique coloring -Potential breeding prospect for someone interested, he will pass on the beautiful blue gene! though we would love for him to simply find a loving home.
