VenmoListing our well maintained and modified popup camp trailer. This has been well taken care of and modified to fit many off-road adventures in the Utah deserts. Can sleep 8 people. We’re a family of 6 and we’ve all slept comfortably!
This popup introduced and permitted ‘actual outdoor adventures’ for my family. My wife had made it ‘campable’ by tediously modifying and redesigning the interior. Recovered and repaired cabinets, ceiling net for storage, perimeter tension cables strung for curtains, new curtains, PILLOW TOP mattress covers and FEATHER DOWN comforters. I installed thermal insulation for cold winter nights which I slip in between the window screens and zipper covers.
Kitchen area is completely operative. Floors have been replaced with LVP flooring - EASY TO CLEAN. The updated high neck faucet is awesome. Running cold and hot water. Hot water heater (recently repaired) heats the water HOT. Newly installed shower head is wonderful when we’ve been playing in the lakes and need a hot shower. Or when I’ve been canyoneering and come back to camp exhausted I’ve rinsed off myself including all my equipment and wetsuits. It’s really helpful rinsing off all that red sand out of everything.
A theater projector drops down from the ceiling was an absolute must update for movie nights. We have a white sheet / movie screen that we hang up on the aft side of the trailer bed area. The kids can watch from their bed and the parents can watch from behind the screen and the kids can’t see in .
Additional 120V outlet plugs have been installed that also include USB charging ports for all those crazy electronics and devises. A media/stereo system was also installed. You can hear a movie or pump up the music to a very decent listening level.
Now the outside and chassis of the trailer: One of the very first modifications I did was flipped the suspension on the axle to give me more clearance. I also upgraded to 14 inch Premium alloy wheels for a better look in a taller tire. Overall, I gained an 8 inch lift.
A new trailer electrical plug was a must - all lights are operative. Electrical brakes were also new (and operative) when I did the suspension work.
The trailer sports a solid rack that can carry bikes, a basket, or anything you’re ambitious enough to carry in top (basket and bike racks are not included in the selling of trailer). The rear ‘bumper’ was modified and updated with a solid heavy duty square tube and a receiver 2” channel. Excellent for any needs where you can install any trailer related accessory or equipment into the receiver.
Aluminum bracket hooks have been installed along each side of the trailer attached to a stringer fastened to the body. These hooks are great for hanging back packs, wet towels, etc. Accessory baskets and a table can easily be installed (we’ve used them for cooking utensils) on the ‘starboard’ side after of the trailer. I cook with a camp chef dual burner stove on the back side end of the trailer and having these baskets and table in the trailer make everything extremely user friendly. I normally have plugged into the CNG coupler The trailer would have been out of place unless we painted and installed custom vinyl to the outside.
