The face of the body is Quilted Maple and the back is Koa wood. The fret board is Ebony. This model is an LB-70 that was built in about 2005. Most of the Carvin guitars were special order guitars. This one has active electronics with a host of effects and capabilities. It is powered by two 9 volt batteries. I had it cleaned and the neck adjusted when I bought it several years ago. This is a great guitar with a very nice feel. Easy to play. Pick it up in Layton.
