VenmoThis Mormon Pioneer Apricot variety is the most resilient and drought tolerant fruit tree I have ever grown. Ten years ago, I bought an abandoned fruit orchard in Willard. It sat idle for 20 years before I bought it and every type of fruit tree died except for Ten large apricot trees that were thriving and producing apricots without being watered. As a test, I planted 4 newer apricot varieties next to these trees and stopped watering them after one year. The new varieties died but at the same time another volunteer Mormon pioneer apricot tree grew up without being watered and is thriving. There are several apricot trees on the mountainside above my land that were planted by Squirrels hiding the nuts. Truly unbelievable! If you are worried about food security or future droughts, you need this variety! 4 to 5 inch trees in pots $3 each.
