Up for sale is my personal Nomos Zürich Datum, a masterclass in clean, architectural German dress watch design. This model features the beautifully multi-angled case designed by Hannes Wettstein, giving it incredible wrist presence compared to a standard Tangente or Orion. It comes mounted on its original black Shell Cordovan strap, accented by a deep green leather lining. Based on the serial number series and the pre-DUW Zeta movement architecture, this clean example dates to an estimated production window between 2011 and 2014.
Condition: Cosmetically a strong 9/10. The high-polish case is in fantastic shape with only light, superficial hairline marks on the case sides and lugs from careful occasional wear. The bezel is sharp and free of deep nicks or flea bites. Both the front sapphire crystal and the exhibition caseback are completely flawless, and the anti-reflective (AR) coating is perfect. The Shell Cordovan strap remains crisp with plenty of life left.
Authenticity & Movement Health: Movement is the beautiful, in-house automatic Nomos Caliber Zeta (ζ) featuring its patented peripheral date wheel and signature Glashütte three-quarter plate stripe finish.
Beat Rate: Timegrapher confirms the correct 21,600 VPH (3 Hz) frequency for this movement architecture. Performance: Running exceptionally healthy. The trace on the timegrapher is laser-straight and exceptionally clean with an excellent amplitude of 293° and a negligible beat error of 0.2 ms. Health: The watch shows zero signs of magnetism, ticking smoothly and strongly within chronometer-spec tolerances at a highly stable +2 seconds per day.
Specs: Size: 39.8 mm diameter | 9.6 mm thickness | 49.5 mm lug-to-lug Movement: In-house Automatic Caliber Zeta (ζ) (26 Jewels) Depth: 3 ATM (30 meters) Power reserve: Approx. 42 hours Includes: NOMOS Zürich watch, original black Shell Cordovan strap with signed buckle, original black wooden presentation box, and the generic Nomos "Congratulations" booklet (no stamped warranty card).
