Up for sale is a remarkably well preserved original 1983 Yamaha XT 550 Dual-Sport. They were only made in 1982 and 1983 and one in the condition of this one is incredible rare to find for sale at a reasonable price. They are highly sought after by collectors and vintage iconic motorcycle enthusiasts. Known as an innovative big-bore dual sport motorcycle and as a legendary"Thumper/Wheely Popper" being able to lift the front wheel off the ground in first, second and third gears with a punchy 38 HP , 32 FP torque engine. Cruises like a dream at 65+ mph with a top speed of 100 mph. And when the road ends it is completely capable of handling off road trails with ease. The engine and transmission are in excellent condition. Starts almost always on the first kick if the proper TDC procedure for this bike is followed. Runs incredibly well and purrs smoothly with pure power through all 5 gears. A pleasure to ride and surprisingly quiet. Recent oil and filter change and carb cleaning. No leaks any where. New Shirnko Trail master tires and good chain and sprockets. All lights work. Brakes work well. Brake and clutch cables are a little stiff and could us a cleaning and lube but work ok as is. Cosmetically the bike is in very, very good condition with all OEM original parts such as the gas tank, fenders etc. Has a new very nice high quality saddle seat on the original frame. This could easily be changed back to the orginal seat style if desired. 4400 mile odometer reading, odometer, speedometer and tachometer all work. Only a few minor marks on the gas tank but no rust and great paint and decals. A few marks on the OEM original fenders and a few other non-serious "use and age" cosemetic marks and wear. (see photos). Comes with a clean Utah Title and current registration for street legal use. I am the 2nd owner. I am 74 years old and its time for someone else to enjoy this rare treasure. No trades, payment to be made by cash in person in Ephraim Utah. 4600.00 or best offer. No low ball offers. Serious interested parties only. Please text if interested. Thank you for looking.
