VenmoWe have a Salmon Faverolles/Faverolle Hen for sale.
NOTE: There is nothing wrong with her. We regulary cycle through our chickens and sell them around 2-2 1/2 years old to make room for new chickens. She is just 2 years old and is still laying.
Faverolles are known to be good, consistent winter layers. They can lay between 180-240 Medium Cream colored eggs a year. She tends to always stay close to the coop and is not a very good forager. She would do fine in a confined run. She knows how to roost, but she loves to sit in our coop doorway at night, even on chilly winter nights! She is a bit of a loner that will do her own thing, but gets along with the rest of the flock fine. She rarely runs when I call for treats and she always holds back while others are devouring their treat. But she will amble over once the crowd has died down and see if there is anything left for her to scavenge. We call her the Midwife because she loves to squawk even when other chickens are laying. She loves to be the first to let you know about everyone else's business. She accidentally lost her beard when we began feeding a moist fermented feed. She is a bit of a messy eater and got the food stuck in her beard. When the other chickens groomed the dried food bits out of her beard, they also pulled out the delicate feathers. So now, she only has a tiny soul patch/fu manchu of feathers left, but her beard should grow back soon.
