Rocky Mountain Belle is a lovely bay paint SF Mare, born on March 23, 2018. Her sire is Cherokee, a powerful 16.1 hand, smooth gaited MFT stallion and her dam is a 15.3 hand racing tattooed trotting Standardbred mare. She is a stunning beauty that rides like a dream at every speed from a gliding flat walk clear up to a 16 mph single-foot! We've put thousands of miles on her riding the mountains and deserts and she has perfect gaits at every speed. Being 50% foxtrotter, she doesn't have the endurance at high speed of our higher percentage Standardbred horses, but she still will go 2-3 times the speed and distance of most gaited horses before needing to rest! I've cleared miles of trail with a chainsaw off her back, while she stands still for me to work, even when large limbs crash down on her...and she drags them off the trail. She's packed out elk & deer from some of the roughest country in the rocky mountains and she's got an awesome mind, is totally non-spooky and just about as perfect as a horse can be! She's too much horse for a beginner or little child, but a dream for the majority of trail riders or ranch hands.
