Soay Sheep come from the Scottish Islands. They are a smaller sized sheep with the ram’s weighing around 70 lbs. and the ewe’s weighing around 60 lbs. when mature.

Soay’s are easy keepers, being a hair sheep so there’s no shearing required. Hooves stay worn down well. Real easy to lamb and the meat is good quality (Some people saying it tastes a lot like elk) So they’re a very low maintenance Sheep.
