Louie – Finished Heel Horse | Started Breakaway | $8,000

Louie is a 14.2 hand grade gelding looking for his next job. He is a finished heel horse and is started in the breakaway, but he has made it pretty clear that he prefers heeling. I’m focusing on my barrel horses, so I’d love to see him go to someone who will enjoy and use him.

He would be best suited for an intermediate to experienced rider. He isn’t a beginner horse, but he’s a great option for someone who already rides and wants to learn how to rope on a horse that knows his job.

Louie has been used outside the arena as well. He’s great in the mountains, has been on multiple full-day cattle drives, packed flags, and been in parades. He’s seen a lot and handles new situations well.

He’s easy to have around: • Stands tied quietly • Loads and hauls great • Eats and drinks well while traveling • Good for bathing • Good for the farrier He is UTD on worming, teeth and got a fresh set of shoes 4 weeks ago.

Louie was diagnosed with mild navicular changes, and that is reflected in his price. He is currently out of shape and will need to be legged back up before returning to regular work.
