Tripawd Trinity was rescued from euthanasia almost two years ago and has been with us ever since. She is roughly 5 years old and is a very petite 45lb Belgian Malinois. She is spayed and current on all vaccinations.
One of the main reasons that we rescued her is because of her story...
Someone brought her to the shelter after finding her on the street with a really bad wound to one of her hind legs. She had also clearly just given birth to a litter of puppies, who were nowhere to be seen. The consensus is that she was most likely hit by a vehicle. The shelter ended up amputating her leg and spaying her - we were then horrified to see her listed for euthanasia shortly afterward. She lost her leg, her babies, and nearly her life in that dreadful place. We just couldn't let her die in the shelter after everything she had been through and rescued her without hesitation.
If you're on the fence about getting a tripod dog, don't be. It doesn't slow her down one bit!

We would keep her forever, but rescuing dogs is our calling and we cannot keep rescuing if we keep every dog we save! So, as much as we absolutely adore her, the search must begin for a forever home.
Trinity is one of the sweetest, cuddliest, silly, intense, chill, expressive, beautiful, photogenic, and special dogs we've ever met! She's very intelligent, learns quickly, gets along with other calm dogs, loves attention, and enjoys food like no animal I've ever seen. She's definitely a foodie!
Despite her tolerance of other dogs, Trinity is definitely the boss and would really thrive in a single-dog home with no other critters, with someone who can take her almost everywhere. She absolutely stinks at being left alone and wants to go everywhere with you. As a result, her recall is nearly perfect, she listens very well, knows all basic commands, never strays too far, and is generally a WONDERFUL companion. She will be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, your best friend, and you will become her whole world. We have honestly never met such a loyal dog! Her experience in the shelter means she bonds very hard to her person. That's one reason why we really want to get placement right. She deserves the whole world!
Being a tripod dog, Trinity would not be a candidate for service work, however, she would be an excellent therapy dog for someone. She absolutely loves being petted and was a major hit with the residents at our local hospice facility. It was beautiful to see her bring so much joy to other amputees like herself, veterans, and the elderly.
If any of this resonates, we would love to chat with you! She has come a long way from where she began and it has been a blessing to have her in our lives these past 2 years. We are in no rush and just want her to go to a very patient home with someone who will love her as much as we have!
