This is a vintage (1904) Gibson F2-artist style mandolin. Made at a time when the Gibson brothers still worked in their factories. It shows wear from usage over the last 100+ years. It has its original ivory inlayed pegs, original ivory neck bridge, and all other aspects are original. It plays very well and has a deep resonance that is nearly impossible to find in modern mandolins. Only 2 dozen of these were made and they never appeared in the Gibson catalogue due to the limited release.
