These white tail deer hides are backed with felt and have plastic hoops attached for easy wall hanging. The hoops were placed in a manner to hang the hide at an angle on the wall and distribute the weight across the felt. Don't expect the hoops to hang the hide perfectly vertically. While that may be possible, they were not designed with that intent. The same for hanging horizontally. You may still have to tack or tape up the top edges to prevent the odd shaped edges from leaning over.

While the hides are still in good shape, they are over 15 years old. After this long, the felt was showing signs of no longer adhering so we reglued them before listing. One hide has the tail on. The other hide has the tail removed.

Hide with tail: The tail leather is brittle and broke off during the regluing process and was reattched to the felt. It's not visible that it is detached but be aware.

These hides are from whitetail deer we harvested years for meat, had professionally tanned, and found a way to hang on the wall without heavy loaded spots pulling on the hide.

They no longer fit our home decor and we are hoping they will find another home instead of going to the trash.

Perfect for decorating you rustic home or cabin. They will still work and look great as a wall hanger.
