Study, thickly woven jute. Approx. 26" x 43".
Immaculately clean, and in excellent repair (see photos). This is an original, historical, real, vintage German Postal Service (Deutsche Bundespost) Jute sack from 1978. The faded printed writing in the top left corner reads 42/78 (= the 42nd week of 1978). It features the Deutsche Bundespost insignia in the classic vertical colored stripes in the colors of the German flag (black, red, and yellow).
The original stamped printing by the West Germany Post Office writing is still legible, although faded (see pictures). It was carefully laundered back then, and has been stored in a cedar chest inside our Utah home ever since.
Comes from a non smoking home. We are downsizing, that's why we are selling it, but there is nothing wrong with it.
