I used this just as described above for a few seasons but recently fenced the entire yard and no longer have hungry deer and other animals eating my garden. In those few seasons the fencing held up very well with little-to-no fading. I liked how it simply hooks into the top of the posts so I can unclip and weed or harvest without fussing with metal chicken wire or mesh. Was pretty pricey when I bought it but well-worth it.
