This 1976 silverface 4x10 Fender Bassman Ten came to me a few years ago in rough, non-working condition. I finally got around to giving it a complete, top-to-bottom restoration, and it sounds absolutely gorgeous! It is incredibly responsive, with the massive dynamic range and versatility these vintage silverface amps are famous for. You really need to plug in and hear it for yourself. The original point-to-point hand wiring is fully intact, but I have completely gone through the circuit to bring it back to life, address noise issues, and ensure long-term reliability.
Restoration & Tech Specs:
Capacitors: Completely re-capped for optimal performance and low noise. The dangerous original "death capacitor" has been removed for modern safety. Tubes: Brand new pair of matched 6L6GC power tubes and a fully tested, matched set of preamp tubes.
Tube Sockets: Original power tube sockets were loose, so they have been replaced with high-quality new ones.
Speakers: All four original 10" speakers are intact with zero cone deformation or damage. They sound incredibly deep and rich.
Hardware & Jacks: Replaced one bad input jack. A previous owner had used random sheet metal screws on the "bright" switches; I replaced them with clean, appropriate machine screws (pictured).
Condition: Cosmetically, it has a few scuffs and dings, but nothing out of the ordinary for a well-loved, 50-year-old vintage amp.
Bonus: I kept all of the original replaced parts and hardware, which will be included with the sale.
You don't just play this amp—you feel it Text is the best way to get in touch if you'd like to come and check it out.
