Spirit is a beautiful 5-year-old Mustang looking for someone who will continue bringing out her full potential. I’ve had her since January 31st, and we’ve come a long way together.
She is easy to catch and does very well in the round pen. She’s made great progress but will still need consistent groundwork before she’s ready to start under saddle. She isn’t saddle-ready yet, and I don’t want to rush her.
She recently had her feet trimmed and did an amazing job. She didn’t require any sedation—she just needs a patient farrier who is willing to take their time with her. She is also up to date on her vaccinations.
Spirit will do best with someone who can work with her regularly to continue building her trust and confidence. She’s a smart mare who likes to test boundaries, so she’ll need a confident, consistent handler who won’t let her push them around. She was the alpha mare in her herd, so she does best with clear leadership.
