Liesel is a beautiful 4-year-old, 70-pound Belgian Malinois mix: 50% Belgian Malinois, 25% Rottweiler, with Dutch and German Shepherd as well. She truly is the best of all of them—intelligent, deeply loyal, affectionate, and devoted to her people. She also has the best ears you’ve ever seen.

She is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic obedience (sit, stay, come, wait) with reliable recall. She learns quickly and responds well to calm, consistent structure and boundaries.

Liesel is a rescue and needs time to build trust with new people. Once she does, she becomes extremely bonded, affectionate, and people-focused—your constant companion and shadow.

She is naturally protective and wary of strangers and must be allowed to initiate all human interactions. She is also mildly reactive to other dogs and must be the only pet in the home.

She has a moderate activity level (walks, hikes, outdoor time) and is content to relax at home after exercise. She does not require constant “work,” but does need structure, consistency, and daily engagement.

Liesel will thrive in an experienced, dog-savvy home committed to patience, boundaries, and continued training. In the right home, she is an incredibly loving and loyal companion.

Due to incompatibility with another resident dog in our home, we are making the heartbreaking decision to rehome her so she can be safe and successful as the only animal.
