There was a time when all the phones had dials. We didn’t call them “rotary” because there was no other kind. Then came the mind-blower: PUSH BUTTON phones. That was because it was the Space Age. Then, to complete the March of Progress, we got the sleek, elegant Trimline, which told us that WE WERE IN THE FUTURE.

I had no idea there were ROTARY Trimlines. How can you be in the future but not the Space Age? But this is what I found in my girlfriend’s storage. It’s in less-than-thrilling putty/beige/tan/caucasian/café au lait. Includes numbers 0–9! Features the cool “whirrrrr” when the dial is released to spread its spinny magic.

I have no way to test it, but I’m working on it. Thing is, these things are bulletproof. They were built to be leased, so they were built to last.
