I’m looking to form a small, serious, execution-focused app/web app development studio with four equal co-founders.
The idea is simple: build, test, launch, and market small software products quickly. Most ideas will not become major winners, and that is expected. The goal is to keep costs low, move fast, validate demand, learn from the market, and keep iterating until we find products that generate meaningful revenue.
This would be a bootstrapped venture. No salaries at the beginning. Each co-founder would contribute sweat equity, time, skill, and execution. Once an app becomes profitable, profits would be split among the four founders or reinvested by group decision.
The rough ownership model is four equal partners at 25% each, subject to the right operating agreement, vesting structure, contribution expectations, IP assignment, and decision-making process.
Before cementing ownership, I would want the group to go through an initial trial period or first project together. The purpose would be to make sure the fit is right for everyone. This idea is honest and well-intentioned, and I want everyone who remains involved to be genuinely excited to work with each other, confident in each other’s abilities, and able to build trust before making formal commitments.
My role will be focused on project management, coordination, product direction, business administration, and technical infrastructure. I will handle the business admin side, including accounting coordination, entity registrations, basic operations, and keeping the group organized and moving forward. I also have the equipment and infrastructure to support deployment, self-hosting, backups, and low-cost technical operations. In addition, I will contribute directly to feature development, engineering, coding, testing, and product iteration where I can add value.
I am looking for three additional co-founders with complementary strengths:
1. Senior Engineer / Technical Co-Founder Someone who can build real products, make smart architecture decisions, move quickly, review code, and help turn ideas into working software.
2. Marketing / Social Media / Growth Co-Founder Someone who understands content, audience building, social media, paid and organic growth, landing pages, messaging, and how to generate attention for new products.
3. Founder / GTM / Business Development Co-Founder Someone with previous startup, sales, go-to-market, partnerships, product launch, or business development experience who knows how to validate ideas and turn interest into revenue.
This is probably a good fit if you are entrepreneurial, practical, self-directed, low-ego, comfortable with uncertainty, and excited by the idea of building multiple small software products until we find traction.
This is not a job posting. It is not a paid contract role. It is an invitation to explore forming a small founding team.
If interested, send me a short note with:
Local preferred, but I’m open to remote if the fit is strong.
