1. Doesn’t just take off on you. Has been trained to enjoy going at a comfortable walk. Will also gait and lope.

2. Packs into the backcountry

3. Side passes

4. Does shoulder in and shoulder out - moving out of the way of trees so they don’t take your knee off.

5. Stops off of your seat without the use of reins - easier to control as they don’t fight you with their mouth.

6. Yields hindquarters - keeps a horse respectful as they don’t generally want to yield that end

7. Yields forequarters - creates easy trail turn around
