Please do not recommend ruff haven, as I have used up my time there and I have already contacted just about every shelter and program out here. I have been trying so hard to find a TEMPORARY foster for my dog, but haven't had much luck. Since being in the shelters he hasn't been as great around other dogs and I think it's also the stress and confusion from moving around so much. This dog is truly my hero! He was there through every part of my DV relationship, he saved me and my kids from physical harm, and he sadly went through it himself too, I am stuck in a position that prevents me from keeping him at the moment, I am working to get an apartment, I just need about 6-8 weeks of work in order to get in. I would love if someone could take him for that time, but if it has to be a permanent thing then I will have to let him go to a new home, his health and safety is all I am worried about. Please let me know by today! He will have to go to the pound if I can not find a home. He does do good with other dogs but probably best to keep him separated from others to start because he takes a while to adjust in a new environment. He does not do good with cats, will chase. He is neutered and has all shots. He loves outdoor activities especially if there is water close by, he will swim after sticks in the lakes and he oddly loves rocks! 🪨 He is just full of personality and love. He is good with kids and people. He will bark at the door but that is something he could work on. Does also love to give hugs but doesn't realize he is a big dog. He needs someone who is willing to give him a chance and work with him. He has trauma from what he went through so that really needs to be taken into account for him. He is kennel and house trained.
