This bike has been a labor of love for a long time but it is time to let it go. This is a hard one to part with, but I just don’t have time for a bike in my life right now.
I bought this bike around 14 years ago as a stock XV920 and converted it into a café racer bike that I copied after Greg Hageman’s Docs Chops builds.

I loved the way his bikes turned out as they looked like what a factory interpretation of that style would have been in that time period. I tried hard to faithfully follow his build and many of the parts on my bike are the same ones listed in the article I posted above.
The list of modifications I made to the bike are extensive and probably too lengthy for the ad listing. If you are curious about specifics I can go into those details.
This bike does need some work. I believe that the starter solenoid is bad and needs to be replaced so it currently does not start. Up until the starter not working I have put 404 miles on the new speedometer that I installed with the resto build. Prior to the café racer build I don’t recall how many miles the bike had, but even in its stock form it ran great. Most of the miles I put on it have been cruising up to Snowbasin on Sunday rides and it’s been a blast to ride and gets tons of looks and compliments. It’s definitely been a conversation piece among other motorcycle enthusiasts.
