ZelleProven working cow dog bloodlines; these puppies come from two of our best working dogs. The sire is one of the finest all-around cow dogs I’ve ever known; he’ll find cattle by scent in heavy brush from a thousand yards and more, he’ll bay up and if necessary get ahold of wild cattle, he’ll work the back end of a herd, grabbing heels on the slow stuff and bringing in bunch quitters. He’s better than three cowboys when working cattle in heavy brush. He’ll go all day, is gentle as can be, and wants to please. His breeding is Catahoula with a touch of Black Mouth Cur. He’s golden brindle color and a smokin’ handsome dog with a good deep bark.
The dam is a registered Catahoula, blue merle in color, and has tremendous drive to work cattle. We have a video of her working a herd as a 5 month old pup - you can already see massive passion and instinct in her. She is a bit over a year old now and still learning, but she will find cattle on the wind, bay every bovine that moves, and circle the back of a herd or put a bunch through a gate. She has a good deep throaty bark. Her instincts are super good. She worked all during her pregnancy and was still eager to work cows right up to the evening before she whelped.
This is her first litter of puppies, and we are super impressed. There are four males and five females. Three merle, one black & tan, and five brindle. They will be ready to go from July 18 on. We’d like these pups to go to good cowboys and ranches where they will work for a living and be treated with respect. Treat them right and these dogs will be among the best you ever own. We have 5 pups still available. call or text for more info. I will be traveling through Utah in late July and can deliver puppies.
