This is a first-generation model featuring a "C" prefix serial number (C 7827), dating its manufacture to the golden era of American fiberglass rod building (circa 1962-1964).
Among fiberglass enthusiasts, the 8-foot FF79 is legendary. It is widely praised as the absolute best dry-fly taper Fenwick ever engineered, offering a smooth, deep, full-flexing action that places dry flies with unbelievable delicacy.
Rod hasn’t seen much use and comes complete with its original factory hard case, original fabric sock, and the original vintage warranty booklet.
