This sweet Jersey girl is about 4 years old, and has a 1 month old steer calf. She is being machine milked and giving about 3 gallons per day beyond what her calf drinks. Her milk yields a thick cream line. At this point she could either be eased off of milking and transition to feeding her calf (she could even have a second calf added!) or you could start separating the calf and get more milk from her.

She gave birth to her very large steer calf with zero assistance and is a great mama. The handsome calf can be an amazing beef cow. Jersey crossed beef yields tender marbled meat. He will be a very large boy. Located in Spring City. Please reach out with any questions.
