2003 Road King 107 Stroker 100 year anniversary police edition
Stage 1: Aftermarket pipes, air filter, and power commander tuner.
Stage 2: Barnet clutch with extra plate clutch, aftermarket cams- fueling reaper 574g (which is a pretty common touring model cam), also converted from chain to gear driven cams (the chain tensioner is a pretty common failure point after 50k miles that disintegrates the shoe and grenades the oil pump and engine etc…)
Stage 3: Extended flywheel 4-3/8” and 107 big bore kit.
Other aftermarket additions: Oversized battery, battery cables, and all balls racing starter 1.7kW. Also installed a reinforced jack shaft with a lighter gear reduction between pinion gear and ring gear (10T:102T) to overcome the added compression from the 107 stroker. Fueling high volume/high pressure oil pump. New stator & rotor, new compensator/spring pack, new crank shaft position sensor. Aftermarket seat, headlight, and floorboards.
All that said, this is not a race bike and has not been treated as such. It’s got plenty of power where you need it, passing cars or going up canyon… Been babied and a great bike.
I have invoices I can show that backs all this up. Engine work, cams, and tuner were done by a shop. I did all the work in the primary side but can show receipts for parts.
The bike has 70k miles. At 60k is when it got a new crank shaft/flywheel, big bore (107), cams, and gear driven cam conversion done.
The compensator, stator/rotor, clutch, battery, cables, starter and all that were done about 1000 miles ago. Which, if you are familiar with Harley’s you know the cams alone or the big bore kit and new flywheel, or redoing the primary/starter/clutch are all very expensive services. All of them together is worth more than what the bike is worth. There’s really not much left to rebuild other than the transmission, which is in great shape so there’s no need.
Bought a second bike which is too similar, and I don't have room in the garage.
