Ipheginia, Iphie for short, is about 35 years old. We rescued her from an inexperienced bird owner who was hoping to breed greys for a quick buck about 10 years ago. She is a habitual plucker and will never regrow all her feathers. Her diet concists of nutraberries and a verity of fruits and veggies. She does not like many veggies but will happily throw them.

She does not talk much, but mimics sounds. She will learn new sounds overtime, but it takes time. She is not a squawker unless something is amiss.

Like all greys, she is particular about who she spends time with. She adores me, an adult woman, but will bite most other people. She will tolerate strangers if I'm present, but never in my absence. She will take time to warm up in her new home.

When out of her cage, she has a habit of climbing down and wandering around on the floor. "Floor bird" can be fairly destructive and is vulnerable. All out of cage time needs direct supervision.

She is only available for rehoming because we are moving and building a home in the spring while living on site. She deserves a more relaxed environment where she can be secure and loved. Rehoming her will be hard for me, and I will be particular about where she goes.

She comes with a large 6' tall cage and lots of toys.
