Large framed oil painting we picked up in China and brought back with us — a child in a yellow robe and red hat standing before ornate carved doors, looks like a palace or temple entrance. Lots of detail work, especially in the doors. Comes in its original ornate gilt frame, solid wood with some wear on the corners consistent with age (see photos). Canvas itself is in good shape. No artist signature that I could find on the front or back. Overall size with frame is 31” x 44” — it’s a big piece, makes a statement over a mantel or in an entryway.
