If you’re looking for a gentle, patient, and level-headed horse to help young riders build confidence, Rumor is your girl. Standing at a perfect, unintimidating 14 hands, she is the ideal height for kids to groom, tack up, and ride comfortably. She is 15, trailers well, stands for the Ferrier and not much phases this girl.

Rumor was originally raised as a ranch horse and spent time doing arena work earlier in life. For the past several years, she’s been an incredible mountain and trail horse, packed our kids all over, and taught multiple children in our family how to ride.

Current Abilities & Health: Rumor has developed some arthritis in a front knee, so her heavy mountain and steep packing days are now behind her. However, she still has plenty of love and light riding left to give! My kids currently ride her around our pastures, on the flats, and along light few-mile neighborhood loops with zero issues.
