VenmoIf you're looking for a solid bunk bed, this is it. I have no idea how old it is because it was a hand me down before we had kids. It was included in a house my parents bought and they didn't want it, so we took it. This is made from lumber, mostly 2 x 6, plywood, other board sizes and secured by metal pins and wood screws. Its been moved many times, been used as a single bed (lower portion only) and still comes together as a sturdy bunk bed. One end needs to be exposed for the top sleeper to climb up to the top from the side. It does stand tall, so top clearance might be tight if you have a lower ceiling.
With lumber prices these days, you would probably spend what I'm asking to build something like this, but without the labor. It may not look as good as manufactured bunk beds but will last forever. We painted it white several years ago (from unfinished wood) and you can tell its a DIY job, but if you're looking for something the kids can't destroy this is a great find. I wouldn't recommend adults sleep up top, but great for kids who are comfortable on a twin mattress.
It comes with two twin mattresses - they should be around 10-12 years old and were not heavily used. They are fairly clean and are thinner to fit the bunk bed better. You can take these or leave it with no additional charge.
