The Utah Iris Society, an affiliate of the American Iris Society, will hold its annual plant sale on Saturday, July 25th. The sale is open to the public from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Utah Iris Society members may come early at 9:30 a.m.
Registered tall bearded Iris cultivars will be priced at $5, with some other iris types at lower prices. For every four Iris plants purchased, you may select an additional iris plant of equal or lesser value for free.
There will be a large selection of registered Iris types, colors, and cultivars. The flower photographs, in this listing, show several Iris cultivars, but these exact cultivars may not be present in the sale. The plants will be bare root iris rhizomes, freshly dug and prepared for sale. They will come from the gardens of society members. The plants are already acclimated to the climate, soil, and water conditions here in Utah. They are ready to be planted in your garden that day, or with proper care, they can be held for a week before planting. In most cases, photographs and/or color descriptions will be displayed to aid in your selection. Come early for the best selection.
The plant sale will be held in the Wetlands Discovery Point building, in Kaysville, Utah. The building is part of the Utah State University Botanical Center complex. The address for the building is 676 S 50 W in Kaysville. This building is next to one of the Kaysville ponds, and just east of the I-15 freeway. From the 50 W street, turn West onto Wetland Point, 676 S. Proceed across the small bridge and follow the road as it makes a left turn. The building will be ahead to the left.
