2012 dodge avenger 188,000 miles I have driven this as a daily for about ten years and parked it a couple months ago because I decided it was time for something newer . car has a rebuilt title I was told it was side swiped from previous owner and they had repainted the passenger side of the car unfortunately the clear coat is coming off where they did that as well as the roof some pros of the car are new struts couple years ago along with a rack and pinion and new battery . Last year the transmission died and I bought a reman 62te transmission last year . when I pulled the transmission out I did an oil change on the engine and saw metal in the engine oil filter and found out the cam and lifters were on their way out so I pulled the engine and put new Mopar cam shafts both intake and exhaust , new Mopar lifters, upgraded Dorman oil filter housing , new cloyes timing kit , transmission mount, ac lines , new condenser and accumulator new radiator , radiator fans and radiator hose, wheel bearing and cv axle , intake gaskets spark plugs and new Bosch injectors all done at the time the reman trans was installed . I put a cheap alternator on it in December since it died
some cons of the car are the paint ,the interior of the car isn't amazing but not terrible . the passenger front arm rest on the door panel is coming off the door panel center console material is cracked the rear seats are pretty good . the front windshield is cracked the tires would probably last till winter I don't think I have ever done rear brakes on it they are probably due the whole time ive owned this car the temp gauge has showed that its gotten a little hotter than normal but its never over heated on me not sure if its a faulty sensor or fan issue but it doesn't always do it it also needs a heater core or actuator on the vac box I had minimal heat on the passenger side of car . I put almost 5,000 into it just last year just trying to get some money back I don't want to hold on to it and insure it anymore . this could be a good beater car or a great parts car
