Selling a Sony STR-GX9ES stereo receiver from Sony’s Elevated Standard (ES) line. Fully functional and includes the original factory remote control. Overall, it’s in great cosmetic condition, including the original rosewood side panels, though it does have a minor scratch on the faceplate across a couple of buttons and the number pad which are visible only under direct light (see pics).
Made in Japan, full analog signal path with three separate tone controls for Bass, Midrange, and Treble. It does have Source Direct switching to bypass all tone controls, as well. Lots of power, weighs just under 40lbs, looks good and sounds great! This was the best stereo receiver Sony offered in the late '80s short of the flagship GX10ES (which is nearly identical, offering just 10W more per channel).
