ApplePayWyland’s original oils are held in private and public collections in over 100 countries. While his lithographs are common, his large-scale original oils are rare assets that historically retail in the mid-to-high six-figure range SELLING WYLAND PAINTING TO HELP RAISE FUNDING
My twin brother Nathan and I have loved Wyland's work since visiting Laguna Beach every year as kids with our family for spring break. Our grandfather, Robert C. Burr, pioneered LIFE FLIGHT medical air services with the helicopter company he founded and owned here in Utah, Rocky Mountain Helicopters. Our grandpa and grandma Burr loved spending time with their family, and this was one of their ways to do that every year until we began to bring our own kids.
Since then, for decades, Nathan and I have wanted an original Wayland oil painting. When our brother Jackson died in 2021
(an artist himself and loved Wyland's work) we looked for ways to remember him and share his life of service for people with disabilities with others. Nathan purchased "Swimmers" in memory of Jackson.
We hope to sell this painting in Jackson's memory to help raise the funds needed to buy and restore our childhood movie theater in Kamas, Utah and rename it THE JACKSON CHARLES THEATRE :)
The estimated value of the painting is $144,230 but we are selling it for a third of that, less if needed of course.
