What is a Guardian Home at Morgan Valley Doodles? We place prospect breeding dogs and puppies in local families at no upfront cost to the family, while retaining the breeding rights to that specific dog. A guardian home is intended to be the dog's forever home. Once she is retired and spayed, complete ownership transfers to the guardian.

Guardian Responsibilities Provide/cover all regular pet parent costs including but not limited to: grooming, food, routine veterinary care and vaccinations, bedding, toys etc. Keep the guardian dog in good physical and mental condition. The dog must be kept well maintained and groomed with consistent coat care and annual vaccinations. Maintain a friendly and open relationship with us, the breeder. Regular communication to know how our guardian dogs are doing is a must. Notify us at the onset of every heat cycle, regardless of whether or not we plan to breed on that cycle.

Guardian Requirements Must live within driving distance of Morgan, UT for the duration of the breeding contract in order to bring them to our home for breeding as often as needed. (This is not a good program for those who do not have plans to stay in one place for a while.) Experience with or willingness to learn- to socialize, exercise and care for the dog (teach the dog basic manners/commands). Must maintain the dog as an inside pet and may only have other dogs that are altered (spayed or neutered). Guardian homes must have no intention of breeding or running a breeding program/business.
