Background: I didn't grow up with cattle. But I wanted to change the way our family was eating. We wanted quality and excellent tasting grass-fed grass finished beef. We also have five young kids and I wanted them to be heavily involved in the process, so we needed docile cattle.

We did the research and traveled across the country to get exactly what we wanted! We purchased very small framed docile Dexter cattle from Michigan (Lakeport Dexters) and from Kansas (Cowskin Creek Ranch-White Dexters). These farms raise mini Dexters that come from fair-winning milk and meat lines. These cows have great confirmation, teat placement, and very sweet personalities.
