It is with heavy hearts that we are looking to rehome our beloved 3-year-old English Cream Golden Retriever. This is not a decision we’ve made lightly. My husband is beginning medical residency, and with two very young children at home, I simply can’t give him the time, exercise, and attention he deserves without my husband’s help.

He is an incredible dog—gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully trained. He has been raised around babies and young children and has always been patient and kind. At nearly 90 pounds, he’s a gentle giant who truly loves people.

Since we’ve owned him, we have invested an additional $3,000 in professional training. He is extremely obedient, eager to please, and knows his commands well. He loves playing fetch, swimming, and, of course, treats. He’s happy to spend time with his family but also settles nicely on his cot in his playhouse (pictured). He never barks EVER unless he is terrified which only happens when he hears fireworks or sees a raccoon.

Finding the right home is far more important to us than finding the first home. We will be selective because we love him dearly and want him to have a wonderful life.
