Here's a 2005 Vizio (L32) partnered with a Samsung SIR-T151 (2002) DTV tuner which can double as a digital-to-analog converter box. (For more detailed technical specs on these, you'll probably have to hit the "Show More" link below.)

Why together? Because the Vizio has a problem (Electronic? Firmware?) so that it can't use its own DTV tuner, so the Samsung box is providing that function.

This setup is cheap and fine for display situations where a (expensive) top quality picture is not needed. That's not to say that the display quality is poor (see the posted photos), just not top quality. There are a few "shadows" on one part of the screen -- hard to see or fairly obvious depending on the type of scene being displayed. One of the pictures shows a blue screen so you can see the "shadows" more easily.

The Samsung tuner can output DTV (1080i, 720p, 480p) or Analog (480i). It also has no HDMI output, rather using Component Video -- three RCA jacks (Y, Pb, Pr) for output of DTV signal to HDTV-ready TV or analog signal to conventional TV. You could probably even hook up the Samsung to an old PC monitor that has component, composite or S-Video inputs.
