PayPalI am the 2nd owner of these XRT28s, and they were a great choice for my relatively large listening room. The detail, clarity, and scale of sound are qualities this speaker is renowned for. The soundstage and imaging is wide, deep, high, and immersive when these are set up properly. The footprint of these speakers is a mere 16" x 16".All drivers are immaculate and look perfect; two 10" woofers which McIntosh claims go down to 16hz, 20 midrange drivers, and 16 tweeters Per Channel! The line array configuration minimizes floor and ceiling reflections and casts a huge sweet-spot with uncolored tonality. While most of my listening is in the 80-95 db range, we have on occasion enjoyed extended peaks of music in the 105 db range, and these speakers sound as refined, coherent, and collected as ever. My listening sessions tend to be several hours or more, and there is never any feeling of fatigue. They are 88 db sensitivity, rated at 1200 watts RMS, and weigh about 145 lbs. each. The cabinets are made of extruded aluminum, and there are some miscellaneous small nicks in the finish, revealing the natural silver of the aluminum upon close examination. I'd assume these would be easy to paint-match matte black, but frankly we've never noticed these flaws in day-to-day life. The 16"-square bases are removable, they show bits of aluminum as well. I've photographed every flaw I could find. I generally leave the grille cloths off since the speakers are so attractive (and must sound better). The black grille cloths themselves are immaculate. the grille frames are cherry wood and there is one nick in one frame, as pictured. The original owner did not save the original boxes, most flaws may have happened when he made an interstate relocation, prior to my purchase of these speakers in 2020. I am located in S.L.C., Utah. The speakers are available for local pickup, or the buyer will need to coordinate and pay for shipping. I am happy to accommodate the carrier's requirements and I can deliver these locally to a freight carrier. I am happy to build crates for these speakers if necessary, if buyer covers $300 for materials and time costs.
