About the Teddywidder Breed

The Teddywidder is a unique and rare rabbit type developed through a combination of English Angora and Holland Lop genetics. This pairing was carefully selected to create a rabbit with a luxuriously soft, wooly coat and a sweet, easygoing temperament, along with the compact, floppy-eared charm of the Holland Lop.

The result is a truly special companion rabbit with a teddy bear-like appearance and a gentle personality.

These rabbits are known for:

• Extremely soft, fluffy, wool-like coats (Angora influence)\

Teddywidder Care Requirements

Because of their English Angora influence, Teddywidders require consistent grooming and coat maintenance.

Grooming

• Brush several times per week to prevent mats and tangles\
• Pay close attention to ears, chest, belly, and hindquarters\
• Occasional trimming may be needed to keep the coat clean and comfortable\
• Extra care during shedding periods

Diet

A healthy Teddywidder should have:

• Unlimited high-quality grass hay (timothy hay for adults)\
• Fresh water available at all times\
• Quality rabbit pellets\
• Fresh rabbit-safe greens once age appropriate and introduced slowly\
• Healthy treats only in moderation

Housing

• A spacious enclosure with room to hop, stretch, and play\
• Daily exercise and supervised out-of-enclosure time\
• Clean, dry bedding and regular litter maintenance\
• Protection from extreme heat, cold, and predators

Veterinary Care
