She is exceptionally affectionate, excellent with children, and loves to snuggle, though she requires a dedicated owner who can manage her history of separation anxiety and leash excitability.

Training & Behavior Notes

• Separation Anxiety: Has a history of anxiety, which has dramatically improved but could resurface if not managed. Best suited for a home where someone is around frequently.
• Leash & Recall: Pulls and gets highly overexcited on walks when seeing other people or dogs. Recall is good unless dogs or cats are present. We choose to play fetch with her in the backyard for her exercise as an alternate to walks. She does well with 10-20min of fetch most days.
• Household Manners: House-trained and respectful, but will counter-surf or raid trash cans if food is left out.
• Athletic Ability: Can easily clear a 3.5-foot fence; requires a secure backyard with a 5-foot fence and no climbable "springboards" near the perimeter OR monitored time outside on a long lead for potty breaks (and we recommend never leaving her on a lead unattended. Wouldn't want the lead to get caught on something and Lucy to seriously hurt herself because she tried to jump).

Adoption Details

• Vacation Perk: We would love to stay in touch with Lucy and we offer free vacation boarding for her (if we are available and Lucy's vaccines are current).
• Requirements: A high-quality home, a secure yard, and a rehoming fee to ensure a great match.
• The "Stuff": Lucy comes with a large bag of her current food, kennel (if desired), sleeping mat, bath towel, favorite toys, favorite treats, vaccine and vet records, CKC/AKC paperwork, DNA test results, list of commands, collar, leash, and a lot of love to give!
• Our Priority: Our absolute top priority is finding Lucy the perfect, high-quality forever home. Asking a rehoming fee of $399 to ensure a high-quality, committed home. This fee is strictly in place to ensure a serious, committed applicant. For the absolute perfect family match, we are open to discussing or lowering this fee.
