For sale here is a Branson 2000Xdt industrial ultrasonic plastic-welding system, including the welding press/head assembly, digital controller and power supply, column and base assembly, installed base tooling plate, interconnecting cables, and other components shown in the photographs. This is not merely a loose ultrasonic generator or power supply. The auction is for the complete system shown in the listing photographs. Please note that an application-specific acoustic horn is not included.

The machine was acquired from a former employer, where it had been installed on a manufacturing line. It is exceptionally clean for used industrial equipment and appears to have received comparatively little use.

Testing performed

The machine has undergone substantially more than a simple power-on test. The following functions have been checked:

• Controller and ultrasonic power supply boot completely
• System reaches its normal operating state without startup faults
• Communications checks between the controller, power supply, and welding head complete successfully
• Z-column calibration completes successfully

Ultrasonic test status

The machine does not include an acoustic horn, so I have not energized the ultrasonic output or attempted an actual weld. Ultrasonic operation requires a properly assembled and tuned 20 kHz acoustic stack, including a compatible horn appropriate to the intended application. No attempt has been made to operate the sonics with an incomplete acoustic stack.
