I had 3 hens, 1 who was broody so I decided to purchase some fertilized eggs for her to lay on, unfortunately 2 of the 3 chicks(now fully grown) are roosters. We cannot have roosters in the area of Ogden where we currently reside so we need to re-home them immediately. If you know anyone who may want a rooster or 2 please reach out. Unfortunately I do not know the breed. I asked the farmer to add a variety of breeds for hatching. The beautiful spotted one is generally very sweet & protective of the hen & has also defended me a few times from the other (losing) rooster lol the white/yellow boy tries to dominate everyone who comes near him though I have noticed the more time I spend around him & correct his behavior by forcing him to be held like & pet like a puppy he softens a bit rather realizes who the boss is. I think the main reason he is so bossy is because there is only 1 hen right now. ;D They are both free range & I would like to keep it that way, so I am hoping they go to a homestead/farm/larger land etc. & for anyone who shares the same preference as I… they have always been fed organic feed & both seem to be very healthy.
