ZelleThis year I harvested thousands of seeds from 13 of my Homesteader's Kaleidoscope Perennial Kale plants between June and July 2026. These plants perform excellent in the cold and heat, and live more multiple years when cared for.
Each packet of seeds contains at least 100 seeds.
The plants these seeds came from were raised in a no-dig no-pesticide no-herbicide garden. These plants tend to grow upright but can lean over without support. They form a bush when unpruned and can grow several feet high and or wide, depending on how you prune and support them. Plan on spacing them at least 2-3 feet apart in full sun to part-sun for best results.
These plants did well in my hot Utah climate, even with temperatures at or above 100 degrees. Keep roots well watered when young, but once established the plants should be fairly drought tolerant.
