Miss Ramona (aka Bailey) is a 2019 OTTB. Standing over 16hh and sweet as pie, Bailey is ready to be your new best friend.

*** I initially bought Bailey to be my eventing horse, but she was diagnosed in March of 2025 with mild kissing spine (thermal image and x ray provided at end of photos). I highly recommend getting your own PPE although the vet (Clark Equine) believes that it is manageable with meds or shock therapy. I have toyed with the idea of breeding her or restarting her myself, but ultimately I believe it's in her best interest to re-home her. ***

I am selling Bailey as a project horse because of my decision to stop riding her following the diagnosis. However, not being ridden has not stopped her from progressing in other ways.

Bailey has been started on driving, liberty, tricks, and some in hand work. Last year I ponied her on several solo trail rides, and she absolutely loved it. Bailey is easy to catch, stands tied, is great for grooming, excellent for hoof care (she is even used to a grinder being used on her feet), and does well with veterinary work. She is very sensitive, smart, and she is respectful with food rewards. Bailey has lovely conformation, strong feet (has been barefoot the entire time I've owned her), a brilliant mind, and a great pedigree.

I keep her on 24/7 forage as she came to me with grade 3 ulcers which have since been resolved. She does well without supplements as long as she has adequate forage.

Bailey does well with needles but can struggle with oral syringes. I have worked with her on cooperative care to help her with this and handling her ears. She has done incredibly well with this!

Her ideal home would be someone with a soft hand who is willing to put in the work to make her your best friend. She loves positive reinforcement and has been worked with using both positive reinforcement and negative reinforcement/natural horsemanship.
