I used this Rove 6 only for about a week. My physician stated I had Sleep Apnea but it was the kind where I did not need a CPAP machine. He stated that my type of Sleep Apnea was the type that needed an oxygen concentrator at night. So, I purchased this Rove 6. That was about 14 months ago. Well, I used it for about a week and I was asked to do an overnight sleep study. That study showed I did, in fact, have the type of Sleep Apnea which required a CPAP machine so I purchased one and I’ve been using it for about 12 months.

My Rove 6 Portable concentrator came with the leather case with both the shoulder and the hand strap, a home charger, a car charger, two batteries (the single battery which is an 8-cell battery and a double battery which is a 16-cell battery) and a printed copy of the instructions. I lost the original instructions somewhere and I cannot find them. So, I just printed a copy off the internet.

The16-cell battery was purchased used from an online vendor for $450.00 which was about $250.00 less than a new one from Inogen. Everything was purchased a bit over a year ago.

The Rove 6 is FAA approved so it can be used when flying.

The concentrator has less than 50 hours on it.

The Rove 6 is tested for at least 20 hours prior to shipping to dealers. Inogen wants to make certain that everything is working perfectly prior to sending one out and is why the test them for so long. Thus, I used this concentrator for less than 30 hours.

The bad new for me is I paid nearly $4,000.00 for this system with the extra battery.

The good news for you is my price on this system is only $1,975.00.

Finally, while many folks state their used concentrator comes with the remainder of the 3 year or 5 year warranty, the fact is that only the original purchaser is covered. Warranties are NOT transferable to a new buyer. Please see warranty guidelines on the Inogen web page for substantiation of this statement. But these concentrators are built to last for about 7,000 hours or longer so this concentrator should last you a very long time.
